Same Boat Studios is a production company that creates entertaining shows that stick with you. Co-founded by Bari Finkel and Gabrielle Lewis in 2025, Same Boat collaborates with writers, comedians, actors, filmmakers, and other creative people who want to make engaging audio and video podcasts. We’re based in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.

We’re Gabrielle and Bari, an executive producing team with over a decade of experience making award-winning, chart-topping podcasts.

We met at work and bonded over a shared love for alt comedy, David Lynch, and the joy of watching hours of DVD extras. Our passion for tv and film has blossomed into a career producing genre-defining companion podcasts. We’ve been at the helm of many of your favorite tv companion podcasts, including The Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, HBO’s Succession Podcast, The Official Game of Thrones Podcast, HBO’s Chernobyl Podcast, The Official Hacks Podcast, The AMC+ Interview with the Vampire Podcast, and Apple TV’s Foundation: The Official Podcast, just to name a few. 

We’re driven by curiosity, a love of collaboration, and the magic that happens when a group of people create something together. Whether it’s related to television, filmmaking, entertainment, music, pop culture, arts, comedy, or a subject we have yet to fall in love with, we strive to produce high quality, thoughtful and specialized shows.

Before Same Boat Studios, we worked at Pineapple Street Studios. Bari was the Co-Head of the company and Gabrielle led Pineapple’s TV/Film Podcast division. And before that, we bopped around public radio and podcast places like WNYC, Transmitter Media, The Moth, Neon Hum Media, and Slate.
